After the Visit

After the Visit: Things to Consider

  • CHATTING ABOUT IT: Discuss the visit with your teen. It might be helpful to ask what he or she thought of the visit: How did it go? What did you think?

  • PLANNING IT: Involve your teen in preventive health. The annual checkup may reveal areas in your teen's health that need attention. You may want to involve your teen in health-related decisions that may be required based on the visit, such as figuring out the best way to make sure he or she gets enough fruits and vegetables every day, or remembering to take any needed medication.

  • BOOKING IT: Book your next appointment. Life can get busy, and schedules can fill up fast! Booking your teen's next appointment promptly can help ensure he or she doesn't miss an annual visit.
